12-month / 12,000-mile limited warranty
Stewart Mobile Repair stands behind its work. Repairs using parts supplied by Stewart Mobile Repair are covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the invoice date, whichever comes first.
What is covered
- Parts supplied and installed by Stewart Mobile Repair that fail because of a defect in the part or in our workmanship
- The labor to replace a covered part
What is not covered
- Parts supplied by the customer, and the labor to install them
- Normal wear after use, such as brake pads and rotors wearing down
- Problems that existed before our repair and were not part of it
- Damage from repairs or recommendations you declined
- Damage from accidents, misuse, racing, neglect, or later repairs by someone else
Who is covered
The warranty is not transferable. It covers the customer named on the invoice and the vehicle that was repaired.
Limits of this warranty
This is a limited warranty: the remedy is repair or replacement of the covered part, or a refund of what you paid for it. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect costs such as towing, rental cars, lost time, or lost wages. This limit does not apply to personal injury. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
How to make a claim
Contact us as soon as you notice a problem, and have your invoice handy. We will inspect the repair and, if it is covered, repair or replace the part at no charge. Please contact us before going elsewhere, so we can inspect the part first.
We must have the chance to inspect the repair before any other shop works on it; we do not pay for repairs or inspections done elsewhere without our written approval in advance. A warranty repair does not restart the original 12-month / 12,000-mile period, but the period is extended for the number of whole days your vehicle is out of your hands for warranty repairs, and a defect reported within the period stays covered until it is fixed. The failed part must be returned to us. If our inspection shows the problem is not covered, the standard $160 diagnostic visit fee applies.
This warranty is in addition to any rights you have under California law.
